Welcome to Marfa!
Marfa: population 2121; location Far West Texas (a.k.a. the middle of nowhere). Marfa doesn't have a commercial airport, the closest "major city" is a tie between El Paso and Midland, and it is smack-dab in the middle of the high desert-- three reasons it is an ideal place to experience music. To get there is to escape; to be there is to leave the everyday world behind; to take part in it is to be hundreds of miles away from predictability. Pretty rad, right?
